Or not...

Seems I might have thrown out my Masterforce and Victory DVD-Rs in a move. So, yeah... scratch that idea.

Revising the past

Another thought I've had when revisiting these scripts is the chance to do a far more appropriate task of editing. Remove all the silly "kisama-tachi". But that isn't really "preserving the legacy" anymore. Maybe soft subs with a choice of original and revised?

TRANSFOOOOORM!

Watching old Victory releases and my goodness I was an awful encoder. I know there's official R1 DVD releases now, but for my own sake I'm very tempted to re-do all of Masterforce and Victory. Maybe move all translator notes to a seperate text file. I have to look and see if I still have my DVD-Rs for these.

As for Super Link and Galaxy Force, while not the same translator as my idea for [Kita], they're still pretty full of "-tachi" goodness. I bought all of Galaxy Force on R2, but do not have DVD source for Super Link. But maybe I'll get around to both of these too, though the source for those scripts may not like that.

I also have the R2 for Micron Legend, but it was never translated. Any translators want to help out and see a release of this "classic" Transformers series?

Is here!

[Kita], Kisama-tachi Subs, is not a group; it's just a name I chose to reflect the origins of the scripts in any releases this idea leads to. I kept every script file I ever touched in my time of fansubbing, and feel the inkling every once in a while to revisit them.

The only [Kita] release so far is scripts for the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation movies, time-shifted for the [E-G] Blu-ray rips and available here. They're pretty basic, and made just for the sake of having them out there. I did it on a whim for /m/ last year and it lead me to the idea of Kisama-tachi Subs, but then I never did anything else.

This blog is just an archive of my toying with the idea off and on.
